Our Story

Mission: Curious University endeavors to ignite the spark of curiosity and a love of science in future generations by cultivating and developing scientific skills from a young age to ultimately increase the quality and quantity of scientists.

Description: Curiosity will engage a group of students K-12 to create and build science games. These games will encompass a variety of fields including coding, computer & robot construction, bioinformatics, astronomy, physics, and math creating exciting ways to youth to explore the scientific world. Their games will be marketed to other students. Students will be grouped by age level (K-4, 5-8, and 9-12) with two instructors who will lead them in game creation. Each group will meet for 3 hours on ¾ Saturdays during the academic year from August to May. Instructors will spend ~10 hr in person per month guiding and leading their groups.

Financial structure: Money from game sells will be reinvested in each student towards their college education.

The reinvestment structure per group will be

  • 10% infrastructure (monthly rent + taxes + other items)

  • 80% to students (8-10% to each student)

  • 10% to leaders (5% to each leader)

Sustained impact:  Curiosity University necessitates an initial deployment of six mentors. Each academic year, every student cohort undertakes the creation and subsequence sale of a novel science kit, thereby setting the stage for self-sustenance. The generated proceeds are earmarked for reinvestment. Funding options at the outset include utilizing the earnings from a prototype kit. By aligning with Curiosity University, you are actively participating in shaping a brighter future for budding scientist. Together we can revolutionize science education and inspire future luminaries in STEM.
